Had a Blade vortex poison assassin. Put 1 exalt into the whole build but put 7 exalts into a pair of gloves that wouldn't be needed. Barley had to put any passives into any damage besides a few chaos and posion passives in the tree. 75% of passive points went into life and defense.
T16 map and bosses melt in seconds. Some bosses in maps in the open not arena died so fast I thought the were regular mobs.
Build a Bleed Gladiator and stacked double damage over time and multiplier and bleed damge and Invested 20+ exalts and the build was not 1/10th as good as the BV. I killed T16 map bosses in 5+ minutes which took my BV 10 seconds. I had to use a ton of cluster jewels to stack damage over time. But I got it to where my BV was.
My BV was level 68 in T16 not even fully built was melting things. Happens allot to builds where I find things that work well and work them into other builds and they never work when they should. Not because I don't know what I am doing. But because the devs don't balance the game correctly.
I am sure some people can make good bleed builds from glitches or someting OP. Seems the be the only way to play the game. Jump on something OP, glitched or broken and when it gets fixed nerfed jump on the next train.

There is no way a competent bleed build would take more than few seconds to take down map bosses unless 100% delirious. Care to show your build? Are we talking about IdleRacey?

t16 fully juiced maps the bosses health would move at a snails pace with bleed. When I used the posion build with way less invested the health ticked down so fast.
Thats just one build. I have done so many different builds that I took stuff that worked and made a unique build and they all fail. Not because they are bad but because its how the game is balanced. The game only allows certain things to work for end game.
I have 2x lvl 90s so my lvl 68 assassin could just jump into t16 maps. I would never play one character as that gets boring and it takes 1 day 8hrs to go from lvl 1 to maps.
Takes me a day or two to fully gear a end game character which is double the time to level one up.

So? Your base bleed is garbage, no amount of DoT multi will save that.

What he is saying is not wrong regardless of the specifics of his particular gears or build.
Some builds in this game take absolutely no effort, hardly any dedicated gearing or passive allocation and wreck content while other builds can get top to bottom min/maxing and still struggle. That's just a matter of fact.
