To Kill a Mockingbird is a novel surely deserving of it’s classic status. Though it is not without its flaws, there is a timeless message of love that permeates through the novel. Deliberations, conclusions, and some awesome art mixed in. It is also of great importance as a book that young readers can use as a ladder towards higher literature than they had been previously exposed to. English . “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee is a classic novel about a lawyer in the Deep South who is appointed to defend a black man accused of raping a white woman. Praised for its critical insights and unique point-of-view, “To Kill a Mockingbird” has won the Pulitzer Prize, been made into an Academy Award-winning film and been translated into more than 40 languages, selling over 30.
- There are many different social classes in “To Kill A Mockingbird.” The factors that separate people into these social classes are their skin color and their occupation. For example, Atticus.
- The “someone” who offered Jem and Scout a drive home may have been either Bob Ewell or Boo Radley. Bob Ewell may have offered to drive them home because if he wanted to attack them, it would have been much easier to subdue Jem and Scout if he could contain the fight inside a car, or if he drove to a secluded area.
